Northern Iowa Receiver Terrell Sinkfield Runs 4.19 40-Yard Dash, Which Might Be His Actual Time (Video)

Terrell Sinkfield wasn’t invited to last week’s NFL combine, but records might have fallen if he were.

Sinkfield, a wide receiver at Northern Iowa for the last four seasons, took his talents to the University of Minnesota pro day on Monday and showed off the blazing speed that could catch an NFL team’s eye come April. During his workout, Sinkfield ran an apparent 4.19 40-yard dash, which if proven would have broken Titans running back Chris Johnson‘s longstanding combine record of a 4.24.

Sinkfield is a viable NFL prospect, measuring out at 6-foot-1 and close to 200 pounds. He caught 43 passes for just under 500 yards and four touchdowns for Northern Iowa in 2012 during a 5-6 season.

Speculation has surrounded Sinkfield’s supposed 40 time with plenty of analysts from ESPN, NFL Network and elsewhere second-guessing the validity of it. An extensive frame-by-frame breakdown of Sinkfield’s run has convinced the people at Business Insider that he, in fact, did run in or around the impressive time suggested.
