Patriots Re-Sign Cornerback Marquice Cole in Free Agency

The team announced they re-signed Marquice Cole on Wednesday. Cole was a reserve cornerback and special teamer with New England in 2012. He started one game. He played 232 defensive snaps last season, according to the website Pro Football Focus. Most of those came in the slot.

Cole spent the first two years of his career with the Raiders, Titans and Saints before latching on with the Jets in 2009. He stayed in New York until 2011 before signing with the Patriots prior to the 2012 season.

Cole allowed 16 receptions on 27 targets last season, according to Pro Football Focus. He let up 215 yards and one touchdown while recording one interception.
