Report: Percy Harvin Traded to Seahawks for Draft Picks

Percy Harvin got his wish, as the wide receiver is no longer a member of the Minnesota Vikings.

Harvin has been traded to the Seahawks for draft picks, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports. It was reported on Sunday that Harvin wanted out of Minnesota. The Vikings had previously said they would not part with Harvin.

The wideout missed seven games in 2012 with an ankle injury. It was reported earlier in the offseason that some of his absence was due to a public argument he had with head coach Leslie Frazier.

Harvin joins Sidney Rice, Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin in the Seahawks’ wide receiver corps. Adam Schefter of ESPN.com said on SportsCenter that he expects Seattle’s first-round pick to be involved in the trade.

As star cornerback Richard Sherman pointed out on Twitter, Harvin will need a new number. His previous No. 12 is retired for Seattle’s “12th Man,” the fans.
