Minor league pitcher Mike Cisco was involved in a trade Sunday between the Phillies and Angels. On second thought, it was more of a giveaway.

Cisco was traded to the Angels for nothing in return, according to CSN Philadlephia. The 25-year-old right-hander, who has been with the Phillies organization since 2008, bounced between Double-A nad Triple-A last season while posting a 1.80 ERA in 75 total innings.

The bizarre nature of the transaction will now become an interesting footnote for baseball historians to cherish.
