Vote: Is Wes Welker or Aqib Talib More Likely To Re-Sign With the Patriots?

Patriots owner Robert Kraft made his feelings about wide receiver Wes Welker known Monday, telling ESPN, “I hope he remains a Patriot for life, just like Tom Brady.”

Despite those warm and fuzzy feelings, Welker is currently a free agent. With 118 receptions and six touchdowns during the 2012 regular season, Welker made a solid contribution to the Pats’ offense. According to reports, Welker is likely to re-sign with the Patriots along with free agent cornerback Aqib Talib.

Talib contributed to the Pats’ defense last season with two interceptions and one touchdown. The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly have their eye on Talib after releasing Nnamdi Asomugha on Tuesday. The Washington Redskins and the Indianapolis Colts are also among the teams interested in Talib.

Potential deals with Welker and Talib will have a significant impact on the Patriots’ salary-cap situation, as well as subsequent free-agency moves.

Who do you think is more likely to re-sign with the Patriots, Wes Welker or Aqib Talib?
