So the Bruins lost out on Jarome Iginla last week. But fans who are still upset that the former Flames captain chose Pittsburgh over Boston can smile once again, as it appears that Jaromir Jagr is coming to Boston.
Which player is a better pick up? Jagr heading to the B’s or Iginla to the Pens? Both are future Hockey Hall of Fame wingers and both can put the puck in the net.
Jagr has the edge in career goals, assists and points (and age) but also spent the majority of the last five seasons overseas while Iginla remained in the NHL playing just about every game in that span (Iginla was scratched just before last Wednesday’s win over Colorado, ending his consecutive games played streak at 441).
Iginla has just nine goals this year compared to Jagr’s 14, and Jagr will bring a much-needed boost to the Bruins power play and their top two lines.
