Burke, who is averaging 18.8 points and 6.8 assists in his second year with Michigan, has been honored with the John R. Wooden Award for his outstanding play in the 2012-13 season. Burke squeezed by Indiana’s Victor Oladipo in the balloting, closing with 2,808 points to Oladipo’s 2,718.
Burke is reportedly going to declare for the NBA draft after this year, but his Wolverines have a task to be completed against Syracuse on Saturday night.
