Jack Jablonski, Hockey Player Paralyzed in High School Game, Drafted by USHL’s Chicago Steel
The USHL’s Chicago Steel made a high school hockey player’s dream come true on Tuesday night.
Jack Jablonski was paralyzed during a high school game in January 2012. The Minnesota teen was checked into the end boards during the Holiday Hockey Classic Tournament when he suffered the spinal cord injury.
Before the USHL Phase 2 draft, Jablonski sent out a reminder to the junior hockey league’s teams.

The Steel fulfilled Jablonski’s wish, making him the team’s final selection, pick No. 411 overall.
