LSU head coach Les Miles took some time off from preparing for the 2013 college football season on Thursday to raise awareness for charity.

However, this wasn’t an ordinary charity event. The Mad Hatter had to rappel down the 24-story One American Place Building in Baton Rouge, La. With seemingly little trepidation, Miles successfully scaled all 24 stories to support the “Over the Edge for Adoption” campaign (a fitting charity for the occasion).

Miles wasn’t the only big name at the event, though, as he was joined by local politicians and Miss Louisiana Lauren Vizza.

Here is a video of Miles rappelling down the building (on the right).

Before he went on his brave quest, Miles took some time for a quick photograph.

While he was scaling down the building, people were also taking pictures of him.
