Patriots Brought Defensive End Trevor Scott in for Visit Last Thursday

The Patriots are already pretty stacked at defensive end, but it never hurts to bring in more competition, especially when a player has experience in Bill Belichick‘s defense.

That’s likely why New England brought defensive end Trevor Scott in for a visit last Thursday, according to the league’s transaction wire. Scott played for the Patriots in 2012 as a reserve defensive end. Scott started two games last season and piled up 14 tackles, three sacks and one forced fumble in 14 games.

The five-year veteran also visited the Eagles last week. His best season came in 2009, when he recorded seven sacks with the Raiders.
