Report: Rob Gronkowski Has Not Needed Fourth Forearm Surgery, ‘Looks Great’ at Offseason Workouts

There’s still uncertainty surrounding Rob Gronkowski‘s ailing forearm, but for now it looks like there’s some good news.

Gronkowski has not needed a fourth surgery to clear an infection yet, and it appears it may be avoided. There will be a definitive answer in “a couple of weeks,” according to ESPN.com.

Gronkowski “looks great” in offseason workouts at the Patriots’ facility, according to ESPN.com’s sources. Gronkowski broke the same forearm twice last season. He needed surgery after both breaks and again after an infection had grown after the second fracture.

The Patriots have seven tight ends on their roster. They’ve brought back Aaron Hernandez, Daniel Fells, Michael Hoomanawanui and Jake Ballard from last season, while acquiring Brandon Ford and Zach Sudfeld as undrafted free agents.
