The former Lions wideout had three charges added to his already lengthy rap sheet during a court appearance on Friday, according to NFL.com. He picked up a felony charge of residential burglary, a misdemeanor charge of resisting and obstructing an officer and a misdemeanor charge of vandalism under $400. Young was charged with breaking into a second house, fighting a police officer and damaging a fence.
The 23-year-old is currently in custody. The judge increased his bail to $50,000 on Friday, which his family has declined to pay.
Young’s court appearance on Friday was bizarre in its own right after he refused to acknowledge the judge, according to USA Today. Young also did not acknowledge his father while in court. Young’s lawyer said it was his client’s right to remain silent.
