Courtney Upshaw, Jah Reid Get Into Fight at Ravens Minicamp Practice

Maybe the Ravens have been watching too much hockey lately, because two teammates dropped the gloves and went at it on Wednesday.

Linebacker Courtney Upshaw and guard Jah Reid got into a brief fight during Ravens minicamp practice, according to The Baltimore Sun. The two played “locked up with Reid losing his helmet in the process while throwing several punches,” according to Aaron Wilson of The Sun.

The fight was broken up before Upshaw could retaliate. It hasn’t been a great offseason for Upshaw (above on the left), who ballooned up to 285 pounds this offseason after weighing in at 270 to end the 2012 season. Upshaw had to stay away from the Ravens facility due to some “personal issues,” which he blamed for the weight gain.

Another fight looked ready to break out at Baltimore’s minicamp between linebacker Elvis Dumervil and tackle Michael Oher, but “cooler heads prevailed,” according to The Sun.
