Jason Peters Arrested for Allegedly Drag Racing, Taking Police on 100 MPH Chase

Jason Peters was arrested on Wednesday morning in a scene straight out of American Graffiti or The Fast and the Furious.

Police spotted Peters, in a white Camaro, and another driver, in a blue sedan, stopped at a red light on U.S. 165 North in Monroe, La., according to the News Star. When the light turned green, both drivers accelerated quickly, appearing to be drag racing.

The deputy turned his emergency lights on and successfully pulled over the blue sedan, but Peters fled, traveling upwards of 100 mph with police in pursuit. Peters finally pulled over in a shopping plaza, where police reportedly handcuffed and arrested the Eagles left tackle.

Peters was booked on charges of drag racing and resisting by flight, according to the report. Peters missed all of last season with a torn Achilles.
