Tim Tebow, Aaron Hernanez, Tom BradyFurther details have emerged in the Aaron Hernandez investigation.

A law enforcement source told FOX 25 that the Patriots tight end appears to have direct ties to 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, whose body was found less than a mile from Hernandez’s North Attleboro home. Police have ruled Lloyd’s death a homicide.

The same source told FOX that Hernandez had been out at a bar in Boston with Lloyd and two other men on the night of the homicide, and that all four left together in a car driven by Hernandez, which Lloyd reportedly confirmed in a text to a friend.

The source also said that “only three men returned to Hernandez’s home at the end of the night and Lloyd was not one of them,” and that forensic evidence was found that links the car to one of the crime scenes, though which crime scene was not specified.

FOX 25 reports that police would like to access the hard drive of a sophisticated surveillance system that Hernandez has at his house and further, they believe the homicide is drug-related. FOX 25 cited marijuana as the specific drug that police mentioned.

Hernandez has “not been ruled out” as a suspect in the case, according to reports, while his interactions with police have continually been described as “uncooperative.”

Police are also on the lookout for a silver Chrysler 300 rental car with Rhode Island license plates that may have a connection to the case.

Lloyd, a native of Dorchester, played linebacker for the Boston Bandits of the semi-pro New England Football League.
