Report: Celtics Agree to Send Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Jason Terry to Brooklyn in Blockbuster Deal

That sound you hear is the Boston Celtics initiating a full reboot.

According to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics have agreed to a deal that would send Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett  and Jason Terry to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries‘ expiring contract, Tornike Shengelia, Reggie Evans, Keith Bogans (via sign-and-trade) and three future first-round picks.

Though both sides have reportedly agreed to the trade, it cannot be made official by the league until July 10.

The longest-tenured player on the Celtics roster, Pierce has spent all 15 of his NBA seasons in Boston, earning 10 All-Star nods and averaging 21.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. Garnett came to Boston alongside Ray Allen in 2007 and was an integral part of the Celtics’ 2008 NBA championship team.

Pierce, Garnett and Terry will join All-Stars Deron Williams, Brook Lopez and Joe Johnson in Brooklyn under first-year head coach Jason Kidd.
