Report: Tony Parker ‘Ready to Go’ in NBA Finals Game 4 Despite Hamstring Strain

Tony Parker put a bit of a damper on the Spurs’ dominating win over the Heat on Tuesday when he left the game with a slight hamstring strain. After an MRI on Wednesday morning showed a Grade 1, or “slight,” strain, Parker and Spurs coach Gregg Popovich remained hesitant about predicting the point guard’s status for Game 4 on Thursday.

On Thursday, Parker could not promise he will not be hampered by the injury, but he did say it will not keep him off the court. Parker reportedly responded to numerous reporter inquiries about his health by saying only, “I’ll be ready to go.”

Parker was hurt early in the second half of the Spurs’ 113-77 win to take a 2-1 lead over the Heat in the NBA Finals. He scored 21 points in Game 1, but his scoring has dropped off in the last two games due to greater attention paid to him by the Heat’s defense.
