Aaron Hernandez Admitted to Shooting Odin Lloyd to Fellow Defendant, According to Court Documents

Court documents from the Aaron Hernandez murder trail were unsealed Tuesday, and they indicate that Hernandez may have admitted to killing Odin Lloyd.

Carlos Ortiz, who was also arrested in connection with the murder, told Massachusetts investigators that Hernandez admitted to Ernest Wallace on the night of Lloyd’s death that he had delivered the fatal shots, according to court documents.

Wallace was also arrested and charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder, while Ortiz has been charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm. According to court records, Ortiz told police that he was with Hernandez and Wallace on the night of June 17 but was not present at the time of the shooting.

The documents released also detail Hernandez’s attitude when police first questioned him about Lloyd’s death, stating that he was “argumentative” and refused to speak to police before eventually agreeing to be questioned.

“Mr. Hernandez slammed the door and relocked it behind him,” the records read. “Mr. Hernandez did not ask officers whose death was being investigated. Mr. Hernandez’s demeanor did not indicate any concern for the death of any person.”

Hernandez is being held without bail on six charges, including first-degree murder.
