Cam Neely has done many things over his career in hockey, from starring as a power forward with the Bruins in the 1980s and 90s before taking over as team president and eventually winning a Stanley Cup in 2011.
That’s all well and good, but where Neely’s hockey success have really given him an opportunity to do big things is in the acting world. While he’ll never quite accomplish in front of the camera what he did on the ice, Neely has shown the ability to at least hold his own when it comes to acting.
Neely’s role in the 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber may reprise in the upcoming sequel, and the Boston Bruins president is reportedly interested in returning to the movie set — if he can find time while running a hockey club. If he were to return, it would be the latest addition to what’s a relatively lengthy acting resume. In addition to being Sea Bass, Neely has also done acting for movies like Me, Myself and Irene, Stuck On You, What’s the Worst That Could Happen? and the TV show Rescue Me. That doesn’t even take into account his work in various commercials, either.
