Carly Rae Jepsen is capable of getting “Call Me Maybe” stuck in people’s heads for days on end, but she is not exactly capable of throwing out a ceremonial first pitch.
The Canadian pop star was on hand to perform a postgame concert for the Rays as part of the Rays Summer Concert Series, but before she took the stage, she took to the mound. Jepsen wound up and launched the ball — about ten feet toward the first base line.
Jepsen laughed off the horrendous throw and reminded us that she’ll always have Grammy nominations under her belt, but never Cy Young nominations.
