Former Thai Olympic Badminton Teammates Brawl at Canada Open (Video)

Badminton matches don’t typically feature punching, kicking and chasing an opponent to another court, but the doubles final at the Canada Open had all of the above.

Former Thai Olympic badminton teammates Maneepong Jongjit and Bodin Issara were reunited as they faced off against one another on Sunday. The two reached the quarterfinals together at the London Olympics and were partners until this past January.

With new partners now, however, there is still apparently some bad blood between the former teammates. As the teams were switching sides mid-match, Issara went after Jongit, chased him onto the next court and hit him until he was pulled off by coaches and tournament staff — both players were disqualified.
