Kobe Bryant Playing Basketball Again, 11 Weeks After Achilles Surgery (Photo)

The Lakers are in a state of flux. Dwight Howard is a free agent and it’s anyone’s guess what he plans to do. Steve Nash still has two years and $20 million left on the contract he signed prior to last year’s trade from Phoenix. Pau Gasol is probably back on the trading block, because Gasol always seems to be on the trading block.

One thing that has not changed is that Kobe Bryant is attacking the offseason like it is the playoffs. A mere 11 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon, Bryant is back on the basketball court — and he wants everyone to know it.

Bryant, wearing his signature low-top sneakers and no visible brace, posted a photo of himself shooting free throws at the Lakers’ practice facility on Sunday. Ringed by the retired jerseys of Lakers greats like Elgin Baylor, Kareem-Abdul Jabbar and Magic Johnson, Bryant promised fans he would #showUagain.

Check out Bryant’s return to the court in the photo below.
