Miguel Cabrera Shown Flattening Baseball in Slow-Motion Replay of Home Run (Photo)

We’ve heard of tearing the cover off a baseball, but flattening one? That’s new.

Miguel Cabrera hit a home run so hard on Sunday that when the ball made contact with the bat, it flattened. The ball traveled 412 feet and came off the bat at 104.4 mph, according to hittrackeronline.com.

This is likely not the first time Cabrera, nor any other MLB player, has flattened a baseball on impact, but it’s probably the first time it’s been captured on slow-motion replay.
