Phillies’ Ben Revere Breaks Foot In Doubleheader Against White Sox

The Phillies have some more moves to consider going into the All-Star Break after Saturday’s doubleheader against the White Sox.

Outfielder Ben Revere fouled a pitch off of his ankle, breaking his foot in the 11th inning of the day’s first game.

With his team down, 5-4, Revere came to the plate against Addison Reed. Revere suffered the injury during the at-bat, but stayed in the game and eventually grounded into the double play that ended the game.

Revere was taken to get X-rays following the game and the extent of the injury was revealed. He will make his way onto the disabled list and will see a specialist on Monday.

After Saturday, he and Dominic Brown lead the team in hits. Revere also leads the team with 22 steals, followed by Jimmy Rollins with nine.
