Prince Fielder Legs Out Triple at All-Star Game, Pops Up From Slide With Pure Joy on His Face (Video)

The All-Star Game is the place where stars who may rarely be seen by other teams or other teams’ fans get to show off their stuff. In Prince Fielder‘s case, that means showing the world that he can still run for a triple.

Fielder had his moment in the top of the ninth on Tuesday night when his hit into right field was misplayed. As the ball skipped past the outfielders, Fielder dug in and just kept going. He flew around second and dove headfirst into third, notching a rarely seen triple. (He has just 10 in his MLB career.)

Fielder was pretty excited when he popped up from the slide, and he wasn’t the only one — American League teammate Mariano Rivera and the other ballplayers with a front-row seat enjoyed the moment, too.

Check out Fielder’s fleet feet in the video below, and catch the full sequence in the photos below that.

Let’s hope this pitch was inside, as Nelson Cruz could probably find a better batting stance.
