Tuukka RaskFive Bruins have now been invited to audition for the chance to represent their respective countries next February in Sochi.

In addition to Canada orientation camp invitees Patrice Bergeron, Milan Lucic and Brad Marchand, Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask and newly acquired winger Loui Eriksson have been invited to attend Olympic camp in Finland and Sweden, respectively.

While Rask has never competed in the Olympics before, Eriksson suited up for the Swedes during the 2010 Games in Vancouver, tallying three goals and an assist in four games.

Rask will face some stiff competition for the starting job in net, as Minnesota’s Niklas Backstrom, San Jose’s Antti Niemi and Nashville’s Pekka Rinne have also been invited to try out for the defending bronze medal winners.

In 36 games this past season, Rask posted a 2.00 goals against average with a .929 save percentage, leading all Finnish camp invitees in both categories. Eriksson, meanwhile, tallied 12 goals and 17 assists as a member of the Dallas Stars.
