Robert GriffinThe no fun police are back at it again.

Robert Griffin III was fined $10,000 by the NFL on Thursday for an apparent apparel violation, according to the Washington Post. Griffin wore an unauthorized T-shirt that read “Operation Patience” during pregame warm ups ahead of the Redskins’ game against the Steelers on Monday night — a game Griffin didn’t even play in.

“Operation patience” is the catchphrase Griffin has been using while working his way back through the ACL injury that he suffered in last year’s playoffs. Griffin is getting awful close in that recovery, though. He has been practicing with the Redskins throughout the preseason and continues to warm up with the team before games, even though he is being held out of all preseason game action. So, operation patience will likely be complete soon enough.

Maybe then the NFL will reimburse RG3 for the fine — just kidding, they’re no fun.
