Calvin Johnson, Patrick Peterson Exchanged Jerseys After Cardinals’ Win Over Lions

Calvin Johnson carved up Patrick Peterson for six catches and 116 yards on Sunday. Peterson’s Cardinals came away with a win over Johnson’s Lions thanks to a late touchdown run by Rashard Mendenhall.

Apparently, both got over their respective defeats fairly quickly.

Johnson and Peterson exchanged jerseys after the game, ESPN.com reported from Detroit’s locker room. Johnson was either mum on his new souvenir or didn’t see the big deal of the trade.

“It’s my jersey” was all the explanation Johnson gave to reporters.

At least Johnson and Peterson have good taste. Johnson is widely regarded as the best wide receiver in the game, even by those at his position, and Peterson is a two-time Pro Bowl cornerback. Neither one would want the shirt of some slouch.
