J.J. Watt Takes Shot to Face, Plays Through Incredibly Bloody Injury (Photos)

J.J Watt wasn’t going to let a little — OK, a lot — of blood keep him from playing on Sunday afternoon.

The defensive end took a shot to the face during Houston’s matchup against the Seahawks. During the third quarter, Watt took off his helmet to reveal blood streaming down his face, and he was forced to leave the field to receive medical attention. The Texans star needed six stitches to close up the gash on his nose, but he stayed in the game, looking more like a hockey player than a football one.

When asked after the game how he suffered the injury, Watt said, “I hit people for a living.” Watt recorded eight tackles and three quarterback hits in Houston’s overtime loss to the Seahawks.

Check out some photos of Watt looking as intimidating as ever in the photos below.
