Pierre Garcon Says Robert Griffin III Is ‘Not Fully Healthy,’ Thinks Knee Injury Is Still Hindering Quarterback

ASHBURN, Va. — Washington Redskins receiver Pierre Garcon says quarterback Robert Griffin III is “a lot different” this year.

Garcon said Monday that Griffin is ”not fully healthy, obviously.”

Said Garcon: ”He running a little bit more, but last year’s RG3 was a lot different than this year’s RG because of his knee. It’s not surprising — we’ve been talking about it the whole offseason.”

The Redskins are off to an 0-3 start in part because Griffin has yet to regain the form that earned him NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors last season. He missed offseason practices and didn’t play in the preseason as he rehabbed from major knee surgery.

Griffin has insisted that he is fully healthy. He had two turnovers on Sunday, including his fourth interception of the year.
