Red Sox Shower Mariano Rivera With Fenway-Inspired Gifts During Pregame Ceremony (Photos)

Sunday night was likely the last time Mariano Rivera stepped onto the field at Fenway Park, and the Red Sox ensured that moment would be a special one for the Yankees closer.

After a trio of Red Sox players from the 2004 squad paid their own humorous tribute to No. 42, the current Red Sox members, who were all gathered on the field, took their turn at honoring Mo. Rivera has received his fair share of gifts during his farewell season, and Boston sent him home with even more heartfelt keepsakes before the final game of the series between the two teams.

Rivera was given a portrait of himself smiling during the 2005 Opening Day ceremony at Fenway, a pitching rubber from the visitors’ bullpen, a Fenway Park seat with the No. 42 on it, a donation from the Red Sox’ front office to his charity, as well as the No. 42 from the Fenway scoreboard, which was signed by all of the Red Sox’ players.

Check out pictures of the gifts below.
