Steelers Veterans Vote to Stop Younger Teammates From Playing Ping-Pong in Locker Room After Poor Start

Rookie hazing is not uncommon in professional sports. Heck, even the Patriots get in on the fun.

During a meeting between the Pittsburgh Steelers’ veterans and captains today, a new rule was passed that initially seemed like a new form of rookie hazing: No table tennis or pool playing allowed for players with less than four years of NFL experience.

Upon closer examination, though, it appears the 0-2 Steelers made the change to help the younger players focus and execute better while off the practice field and at the team’s facility “during business hours.”
