Tim Tebow Jerseys Still Selling for Full Price Four Days After Quarterback Released by Patriots (Photos)

Tim Tebow is not currently on an NFL roster, but that doesn’t mean sporting goods retailers have to give him up as a cash cow.

Four days after Tebow was released by the New England Patriots, his No. 5 jersey was selling for full price ($100) at several online retailers. One of the few websites that seemed to be offering a discount on the now-obsolete jerseys was NFL.com, which listed the jerseys at a markdown of more than 40 percent.

ESPN’s Keith Olbermann called out his own network for its excessive coverage of Tebowmania on his show, pointing out how much revenue the NFL and the Patriots would have generated from even the most modest sales of Tebow’s popular jersey. It appears some stores are trying to squeeze every possible drop from Tebow’s dwindling army of fans.
