Tim Thomas, who wore the Black and Gold of the Boston Bruins for the majority of 2002-2012, has made his first appearance back on the ice since taking a year off last season.

The former B’s (and Islanders) goalie suited up for Florida on Tuesday after the longtime B’s backstop agreed to try out for the Panthers this preseason. Reports indicate that he may even start against the Lightning on Saturday.
