Trent Richardson Traded From Browns to Colts for First-Round Pick

Colts owner and CEO Jim Irsay promised a “MONSTER TRADE” on Twitter, and the deal that went down Wednesday afternoon didn’t disappoint.

The Browns traded Trent Richardson to the Colts for a first-round pick. Richardson was drafted No. 3 overall by Cleveland last season.

Indianapolis lost Vick Ballard for the season after he tore his ACL in practice. That left the Colts with Ahmad Bradshaw as the lone starter at running back.

Richardson ran for 950 yards on 267 carries with 11 touchdowns last season and added 51 catches for 367 yards and a touchdown through the air. The Alabama product has 105 yards on 31 carries and seven receptions for 51 yards through two games this season.
