Daniel Radcliffe Named His Fantasy Football Team ‘Barkevious Mingo’s Mum’, Calls It ‘The Greatest Name I’ve Ever Heard’

What does Harry Potter do during the Quidditch offseason? Fantasy football, naturally.

The New York Times interviewed Daniel Radcliffe about his life after the Harry Potter franchise and fantasy football came up, as it inevitably does. Radcliffe is as middling of a fantasy GM as any other muggle out there, but he does have a fantastic team name.

Barkevious Mingo‘s Mum.”

Radcliffe picked the Cleveland Brown’s rookie — and his mother — for the simplest reason. He liked the name.

“I just think Barkevious Mingo is the greatest name I’ve ever heard, and the fact that his mum invented that name is also amazing,” Radcliffe told Samantha Henig. “And in that league I have the Cleveland defense as well, and they had an amazing game the other day against Buffalo, so I’m incredibly grateful to the Cleveland defense, Barkevious Mingo and his mother.”

Sure, he acts all polite and respectful, but every time he says that name to himself, he must giggle like a first-year in Potions.
