Jennifer Garner Sports Red Sox Beard on Jimmy Kimmel, Says ‘Trick or Treat May Be Canceled’ If Sox Play Game 7 (Video)

It’s officially not weird to be attracted to a woman with a beard, thanks to Jennifer Garner.

The Houston native was on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her new movie Dallas Buyer’s Club, co-starring Matthew McConaughey, but she walked onstage sporting a giant fake beard in support of the Red Sox. Of course, Garner is married to diehard Red Sox junkie and fellow Hollywood star Ben Affleck.

Instead of promoting the movie, Garner spends the first several minutes talking about what it’s like living with a superstitious, Red Sox-obsessed husband.

“The Red Sox — that’s all that really happens at my house,” Garner said. “I don’t know if kids are being fed. … Trick or treat may be canceled if there’s a Game 7.

“You can’t not fall for the Red Sox — you want to hang out in that dugout.”

Garner goes on to elaborate the types of very funny, yet incredibly familiar superstitions Affleck uses to try to aid his Red Sox, such as rally caps, eating a hot dog at the same point of a game and not letting friends come back to games if the hometown heroes lose.

One Hollywood (fictional) couple — Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore — have already run across the field when the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004. Should the bearded bunch manage to pull off another title in either Game 6 or 7, don’t be surprised to see Garner and Affleck doing much of the same.
