Red Sox to Release Limited Number of World Series Tickets Friday, Fans Must Call to Purchase

Although it took many fans a few months to truly buy into the 2013 bearded bunch of ballplayers on Yawkey Way, the bandwagon is rolling full steam ahead. For the eager and proactive fans among that crowd, the Red Sox are taking advantage of an MLB ticket policy.

Despite the Red Sox not playing Game 1 of the ALCS until Saturday, the team will be selling a limited number of tickets starting on Friday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. to potential World Series games. Tickets will be on sale for Games 1, 2, 6 and 7 via automated phone only at 888-RED-SOX6 (888-733-7696).

Fans with disabilities may call (877) RED-SOX9 to purchase accessible seating (while supplies last). The Red Sox’ TTY number is 617-226-6644.

Fans who registered and were selected in the random online drawing for the opportunity to purchase World Series tickets were notified Thursday of their selection via email and have the opportunity to purchase tickets starting at noon tomorrow on redsox.com.

No tickets will be available at the Fenway Park ticket office.

There will be a 4 ticket limit per fan for World Series games. Ticket prices for those games range from $125 to $375.

First pitch at Fenway on Saturday night is schedule for 8:07 p.m., while Game 2 of the ALCS is slated for 8:15 Sunday night.

Game 1 of the World Series is schedule for Wednesday, Oct. 23.
