Rob Gronkowski Wearing Big Black Brace to Help Protect Left Forearm (Photos)

Rob Gronkowski is back in uniform for the Patriots on Sunday, although he has a minor alteration to his usual getup.

Gronkowski, who missed the first six weeks of the season while recovering from offseason surgeries, is wearing a big black brace on his left forearm in his return to the field. The padded sleeve is intended to help add an extra layer of protection for the arm, which he broke twice last season.

Gronkowski’s extended absence from the game field has been reportedly due to the forearm. The padding should provide Gronkowski and the Patriots will an added sense of security, though.
