Tom Brady Says Kenbrell Thompkins, Aaron Dobson Are Doing ‘As Good As You Could Have Ever Possibly Imagined’

After a couple more drops and one less-than-ideal path to the end zone on the Patriots’ longest play of the game on Sunday, doubts started creeping up again about New England’s rookie receivers.

Kenbrell Thompkins‘ and Aaron Dobson‘s quarterback said the two players are exceeding expectations, though.

“Those guys are doing as good as you could have ever possibly imagined,” Tom Brady said on WEEI’s Dennis & Callahan on Monday. “They’re forced into a situation where they’re having to carry most of our offense. They’re doing as good a job as they possibly can.”

Thompkins had three catches for 16 yards on Sunday. He has 18 receptions for 273 yards and three touchdowns on the season.

Dobson had two catches for 49 yards against Cincinnati. He has 13 catches for 167 yards and a touchdown on the year.
