When it comes to trick plays, 80 percent is how well you sell it, and one JV quarterback in California may have a future in Hollywood after the stunt he was able to pull off.
Jahlil Pinkett is the signal caller for El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills, Calif., and during a recent game against Cleveland High School, he set up under center and bent down to take the snap before standing up and walking toward the sideline, requesting a new football.
Pinkett’s performance froze the defense in their spots as he easily made his way down the sideline to score a touchdown with his confused and stunned opponents looking on. Acting chops probably run in the family, though, since it turns out that Pinkett is the nephew of actress Jada Pinkett-Smith.
