During a Q&A on Sunday night at Bar Louie, Gronkowski was dancing with the Asian fan when the tight end said, “They told me he could only cook fried rice!” Gronkowski called him “Leslie Chow,” a character in the Hangover movies. It turns out the man was a friend of Gronkowski’s, named Joe.
“I feel bad. Personally, I feel bad,” Gronkowski said. “I talked to Joe and he assured me he took no offense in any way. And I know others did. And I apologize to those who took offense.
“He’s a good guy and he’s a friend of mine. He’s a good dude.”
Gronkowski chose not to comment further on the video or about rumors that he wants to be in the upcoming Entourage movie.
Gronkowski further clarified his comments to the Boston Herald.
