Instead, the Youngstown State forward, who stepped into the lane to draw a charge in the final minute of the Penguins’ 85-69 loss to UMass on Sunday, ended up on a poster.
Chojnacki was attempting to intercept UMass’ Raphiael Putney as the senior charged toward the basket on a fast break with under 30 seconds remaining in the second half. But the undeterred Putney instead flew clear over the defender, leaping from just inside the foul line to put an exclamation point on the win with an emphatic slam.
