Oregon Unveils New ‘Mach Speed’ Uniforms for Alamo Bowl vs. Texas (Photos)

With bowl season comes fancy new uniforms for a number of teams, and Oregon, of course, is no exception.

The Ducks have saved some of their most unique designs for January in years past — their neon-accented set for the 2011 title game and chrome domes for the Rose Bowl in 2012 come to mind — and although a disappointing stretch run bounced them from the BCS this season, it hasn’t prevented the uniform masters from trotting out another full revamp.

On Friday, Oregon released what it — and Nike — is calling the “Mach Speed” uniform, an updated version of the shoulder-wing jerseys the team has been wearing for the last few seasons. Black-and-yellow and white-and-green sets were unveiled, and both feature all sorts of newfangled Nike innovations (“Chain Maille 2.0 mesh fabric,” “laser perforated mesh panels,” etc.).

It’s unclear which of the two the Ducks will be wearing for the Alamo Bowl against Texas, but check them both out in the photos below.
