University of Virginia Football Coach Gets Straight to Point, Sends Recruit Letter That Just Says ‘You’ (Photo)

College recruiting has become so competitive that keeping pitches short and sweet is sometimes the best way to lure in potential recruits. University of Virginia head coach Mike London is taking that to a whole new level.

London hasn’t exactly built a winner on the field at Virginia, going just 18-31 in four seasons, but he has done a great job on the recruiting trail. The Cavaliers have one of the nation’s best recruiting classes for 2014, highlighted by a couple of five-star recruits. So, London must be doing something right. In fact, sometimes he needs just one word to secure a commitment.

Jeffrey Farrar, a three-star athlete from Upland, Calif., committed to UVA back in August, but, even after he committed, London sent the recruit arguably the most direct letter of all time,  as it simply read “You!”

Farrar tweeted out a photo of the letter on Tuesday, saying that he didn’t quite know what it meant.

“So i opened this letter from coach london and I’m not really sure what it means haha. This is a new one coach L #UVA,” Farrar tweeted.

He deleted he tweet a few hours later but followed it up by explaining that he was joking and actually does know what the letter intended after all.
