Someone isn’t taking the Seahawks’ latest loss very well.
The 12th Man could do nothing to help stop Arizona when they took on Seattle at CenturyLink Field on Sunday, and the Cardinals were able to snap the Seahawks’ 14-game home win streak. Surely many Seahawks fans were frustrated by the loss, since their team could have clinched the NFC West title and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win. Washington State Rep. Joe Fitzgibbon took to Twitter on Sunday night to vent after Seattle lost its second game in three weeks.
Fitzgibbon, who is the Democratic representative for the 34th district, tweeted, “losing a football game sucks. Losing to a desert racist wasteland sucks a lot.”
There must be some kind of social media etiquette course for people in Rep. Fitzgibbon’s position, but, alas, it seems some will never learn the importance of tweeting responsibly. Fitzgibbon has since deleted the tweet, but of course, once you put it on the Internet, it never dies.

Fitzgibbon backtracked a bit after the whole thing blew up, telling Associated Press reporter Mike Baker that people are taking his sports trash talk too seriously. Of course.

It’s safe to assume Blake Griffin isn’t actually going to pass on a fast break, he just wants to put you on a poster.
