Aqib Talib OK With Marquice Cole Joining Broncos: ‘Cash That Check, Baby’

FOXBORO, Mass. — New England Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib isn’t afraid of former teammate Marquice Cole giving away any company secrets to the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos signed Cole on Tuesday; he was cut by the Patriots on Dec. 26. Talib said he was happy his friend latched on with a new team.

“That’s my dog, man,” Talib said of Cole signing with Denver. “Good luck, Quice man. Cash that check, baby. Get that check baby. Gotta pay the bills, man.”

There is some fear that Cole could give the Broncos some insight into the Patriots’ defense entering Sunday’s AFC Championship Game in Denver. Talib said Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is so well prepared, though, that he won’t need outside help.

“Quice can’t tell Peyton Manning nothin’ that Peyton Manning don’t already know about us, man,” Talib said. “He can’t tell him nothin’.”

Cole’s locker had been cleaned out by the Patriots on Wednesday. It was still intact Monday.
