Derrick Coleman Responds To Deaf Fan’s Letter With One Equally As Awesome (Photo)

If you thought the Derrick Coleman story couldn’t get any more awesome, well, you’d be wrong.

The Seattle Seahawks fullback, who’s the first deaf offensive player in the NFL, won over countless hearts last week when he starred in an inspiring ad for Duracell. The story struck a particular chord in one young fan, who’s also deaf, and the young girl penned a touching letter to Coleman. Her father shared the sweet note on Twitter, and less than 24 hours later, Coleman responded with a letter of his own.

Coleman thanked his new friend for cheering him on and continued his motivational ways, telling her that hearing aids won’t stop her from accomplishing everything she sets out to do.
