FOXBORO, Mass.– Bill Belichick has talked to the New England Patriots about legal marijuana in Colorado.
While it seems like that shouldn’t be an issue, running backĀ LeGarrette Blount confirmed that the Patriots head coach addressed his team about it during preparations for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos. While it’s legal to partake of marijuana in Colorado, it’s still against NFL rules.
āItās a business trip,” the appropriately named Blount said. “Nobody is going to care about that. Bill told us about it. He basically told us, āDonāt go out there and be stupid.ā [Thatās] really good advice.ā
A reporter badgered Belichick during the coach’s news conference FridayĀ about the legality of the drug in Colorado. Belichick, who already are in a surly mood, quickly put an end to the questioning.
“I think we know what the NFL policy is on that,” Belichick said.
