Lindsey Vonn won’t be competing at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, but she’ll still be a big part of the festivities.
The gold medal alpine skier is joining NBC as an Olympic correspondent for Today and NBC Sports, according to the network. In the days leading up to the opening ceremony, Vonn will report on how Olympians prepare for the games from the U.S.
Once the Olympics officially get underway, Vonn will remain stateside and share her thoughts and perspective on the competition.
Vonn withdrew from the Sochi Olympics earlier this month after suffering a knee injury in November.
